Preparing Your Dog for a Grooming Appointment
What Should I Do Before I Arrive?
Congratulations on booking your dog’s grooming session! Here’s a quick guide to help you prepare and make the experience smooth and enjoyable for both you and your pet.
Brush and Inspect Your Dog’s Coat:
If possible, give your dog a quick comb-through to minimize the time they’ll need to stand during grooming. If brushing isn’t feasible, gently feel their coat while they’re relaxed and let us know if you notice any knots or matting.
Feeding and Medication:
Avoid feeding your dog within one hour of their appointment, but do administer any necessary medications beforehand.
Bathroom Breaks:
Ensure your dog has had plenty of opportunities to relieve themselves before arriving at the salon.
Important Details About Your Dog:
Write down any important information, such as:
Medications or recent treatments.
Vaccination dates.
Behavioral tendencies.
Your dog’s current grooming routine at home. Feel free to bring any grooming tools you already use, as this will help us provide personalized care tips.
What to Expect When You Arrive
When you arrive, please be mindful if we are finishing up with another client. Working with live animals can be unpredictable, and we’ll always do our best to assist you as soon as possible.
Timeliness: Please try to arrive on time. If you’re early, feel free to wait patiently—we may be able to start earlier if time allows. If you’re running late, let us know. We can only hold appointments for 15 minutes.
Paperwork: We’ll ask you to complete a Customer Form with key information about your dog. Allow a few minutes for this process during check-in.
Consultation: We’ll chat with you to learn more about your dog and ensure we provide the best experience possible.
Collecting Your Dog
We’ll send you a text message about 15 minutes before your dog is ready, giving you enough time to head back to pick them up. If you need more time, just let us know when you drop off.
Feedback and Updates: After the grooming session, we’ll update you on how it went and share any observations we made.
Payment Options: Payments can be made via cash or card.
Home Time: Once your dog is all fresh and clean, it’s time to head home for some well-deserved rest. Grooming days can be tiring, so don’t be surprised if your dog is ready for a nap.
Final Reminder: Double-check your appointment details and arrive prepared. We’re excited to meet you and your furry friend!
